Landwirtschaftliche Produktionsanlagen römischer Villen im republikanischen und kaiserzeitlichen Italien

Facilities for the processing of wine, olives, and grain were of essential significance for villa industry in Roman Italy. This study examines the construction, technical design, and spatial structure of these production facilities and the role they played in the conceptualization of villa buildings. It focuses on the question of how the divide between agricultural utility construction and rural residence was implemented.
